A letter to HamletMachine (because she just updated Starfighter after a far too long hiatus)
Dear HamletMachine,
I have the hardest time finding words to describe how amazing both you, and your artwork is. I was ok for awhile, knowing that there weren’t any more pages of Starfighter out for me to obsess over, but now that it’s back, the only way I can think to describe my reaction is “FEELINGS! OMG FEELINGS!”. About your art (which is the most beautiful and endearing I have ever seen) and about Abel and Cain, and about the story and about how aggravated I am that you just can’t live in my basement and write and draw for Starfighter forever. I admire you so much, it’s painful. Your talent is boundless. Starfighter is so much more than just smut, it’s a story. An amazing story, full of humanness and emotion and and and…..the sex is just an added bonus. A big bonus, but stiil, even then, their sex is just….sexy. To some things up, just, “everything is beautiful and nothing hurts” except everything hurts from how perfect you are. Which sounds weird, coming from me, who doesn’t know you at all, but whatever. You need to know that you are talented and that your work is incomparable to anything I have ever seen.

Day 30- Why I love Katekyo Hitman Reborn
In the most shallow sense of my love for Katekyo Hitman Reborn, it satisfies all my weird obsessions with Italy, Japan, and the mafia. More specifically, the mafia systems within each culture; but that’s really only an added bonus. It’s the subject matter that hooked me in, but what I really absolutely love about KHR is the characters. Everyone of them is so unique that it makes it hard to dislike any of them, even the ones you actually do dislike. I love that it’s constantly grabbing your attention, and is always outside the box of any other typical shounen manga. It’s stimulating both mentally and emotionally, the story is fantastical, but the characters are so superbly relatable that it adds a whole new sense of passion to the story in general. It is extremely well-written, nothing really compares to the intricacy and immaculate detail Amano-sensei puts into her work. All in all, it’s incomparable. I just….I just love Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
